Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (ACTVET) and Nafis are teaming up to train 450 Emirati women as healthcare assistants. The program, conducted by Fatima College of Health Sciences (FCHS), aligns with leadership’s goal of preparing 10,000 Emiratis for roles in the UAE’s healthcare sector as nurses and emergency medicine personnel.
The Honorable director general of the Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (ACTVET), Dr. Mubarak Saeed Al Shamsi, and the secretary general of the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council, Ghannam Al Mazrouei, met at the Abu Dhabi headquarters of the ACTVET-affiliated Fatima College of Health Sciences (FCHS).
Students from the first batch of the Healthcare Assistant program—which was jointly conducted for the first time by both parties—at the FCHS branches in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Ajman were among the attendees of this gathering. Attending the meeting were representatives from the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization, the UAE Competitiveness Council, and ACTVET.
“The partnership aims to meet the objectives outlined in the UAE’s Fifty-Year Plan, primarily focusing on preparing specialized UAE Nationals capable of contributing to the growth of the workforce in the country’s healthcare sector.
“This meeting highlighted the vision of ACTVET, and its ongoing efforts to train and empower UAE Nationals to work in this key sector through an advanced plan implemented by Fatima College of Health Sciences.”
Through the use of cutting-edge laboratories, sophisticated academic and applied curricula, and adherence to the most recent international standards and processes, the college plays a leading role in putting the leadership’s directives into practice and achieving them in the healthcare industry.
