Abu Dhabi: Under the patronage of HH Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’ Affairs and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority (ECA), the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority is set to host the second edition of Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Week 2025.
This Emirate-wide series of community activations will take place from November 17 to 23, 2025. Centered on the theme Together We Can Make Abu Dhabi a Family-friendly Emirate, the initiative underscores the importance of collaboration between public and private sectors to offer enriching experiences for families and young children. This effort directly aligns with the UAE’s Year of Community, inviting widespread participation across the Emirate.
The Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Week 2025 reflects ECA’s vision where every child can grow and flourish in a nurturing, safe, and family-oriented environment. The event offers a platform for shared action, connection, and innovative thinking that emphasizes the value of early childhood development.
The 2024 edition of the Week witnessed overwhelming participation. Over 25,000 families took part, with more than 70 activations held across the Emirate, attracting over 1,000 global attendees who contributed ideas, innovation, and powerful storytelling. The upcoming 2025 edition aims to expand this success, focusing on grassroots engagement through a variety of community-driven activities.

“In the first 1,000 days, a child’s brain forms over a million connections every second – these are the moments that shape a lifetime. We also know that investing in the early years is an investment in our nation’s future. It helps lay the foundations for healthier, more resilient societies, stronger economies, and empowered future generations who will carry the UAE’s legacy forward,” said Her Excellency Sana bint Mohamed Suhail, Minister of Family and Director General of the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority.
Her Excellency added that the Week will be an excellent opportunity for organizations to actively participate, co-create, and contribute. Come out, take part, and contribute to our collective mission to make Abu Dhabi family-friendly.”
Key themes for the Week include spending quality time with children, nurturing cultural identity, integrating technology and AI to enhance human connection, and developing family-friendly spaces throughout Abu Dhabi. Events will span Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra, transforming public spaces into vibrant learning playgrounds and creating memorable parent-child bonding moments.
The ECA has called upon organizations to contribute by co-creating age-appropriate, child-centered, interactive, and culturally relevant experiences that encourage play and strengthen family ties.
