Abu Dhabi: Under the directives of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has approved the second housing and benefits package for 2024. Valued at AED 3.309 billion ($900 million), this package has been distributed to 2,015 citizens across Abu Dhabi.
The housing benefits package helps 1,766 residents with housing loans worth over AED 3.046 billion ($828 million), including 782 loans for the purchase of apartments in the Balghaiylam residential project.
Furthermore, AED262.8 million ($828.51 million)in housing loan payments have been waived for senior citizens, low-income retirees, and the relatives of citizens who have passed away. 249 residents of the emirate have directly profited from this exemption.
Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, said that, “We extend our deepest gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and to His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council for their generous directives to disburse the second housing and benefits package in 2024.
The distribution of this package highlights our wise leadership’s continued dedication to improving the welfare of our citizens and their families and nurturing familial and social cohesion within the emirate while advancing its comprehensive development.”
The second housing benefits package of this year is being distributed in conjunction with the impending Eid Al Adha, demonstrating the leadership’s commitment to guaranteeing the welfare of Emirati households. With the distribution of this package, the total amount of housing benefits since the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority’s founding has exceeded AED 152 billion ($41 billion).
