The Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre (ALC) has announced that starting from 2025, the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair (ADIBF) will extend its duration to 10 days. The 34th edition of the Fair is scheduled to take place from April 26 to May 5, 2025.
This decision aligns with ALC’s objectives to foster innovation in the publishing industry and promote cultural exchange. By extending the Fair’s duration, local and Arab authors will have more opportunities to connect with international publishers, enhancing their visibility on a global scale.
The extension follows a comprehensive study by the ALC aimed at boosting key metrics such as visitor numbers and sales. The move also responds to feedback from the 2024 Fair, where participants expressed a strong desire for a longer event.
His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Tamim, Chairman of the ALC, stated that the extended duration will increase the Fair’s regional and global competitiveness, providing more time for cultural exchange, professional networking, and economic activities related to books and publishing.
With enhanced infrastructure and expanded educational programs, the 2025 Fair aims to attract more visitors, including students and cultural tourists, further cementing Abu Dhabi’s status as a leading cultural and tourist destination.
