Abu Dhabi: The Czech Republic is hosting the 9th Show of the Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup for the 2024 season today. This prestigious event, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court, and Chairman of the Emirates Arabian Horse Society (EAHS), is a significant occasion in the world of Arabian horse sports.
Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the EAHS, is overseeing the event, which has drawn a strong lineup of Arabian horses from both the Czech Republic and across the European Union. This championship marks the third leg of the Emirates Arabian Horse World Cup series in Europe, following successful competitions in France and Denmark. The event is being held in conjunction with the Prague Intercup – International Arabian Horse Show 2024.
The Czech Republic has long played an active role in Arabian horse sports. The country’s dedication to the sport is evident in the work of the Czech Association for Purebred Arabian Horses, which was established in 1993. The association boasts a large membership of owners and breeders, with numerous Arabian horses registered under its care.
This year’s show is expected to be a highlight in the European Arabian horse calendar, showcasing the best in Arabian horse breeding and competition, while also strengthening the ties between the UAE and the global Arabian horse community.
