Fujairah: In a recent meeting held in Baku, Azerbaijan, the Executive Board of the International Taekwondo Federation (ITF), under the chairmanship of ITF President Dr. Chungwon Choue, announced that the Emirate of Fujairah will be hosting the prestigious 2025 World Juniors Taekwondo Championships. Additionally, the Board revealed that the World Senior Taekwondo Championships would be held in Ouchi City, China.
The decision to select Fujairah for the 2025 World Juniors Taekwondo Championships highlights the trust and confidence that the ITF has in the leadership of the UAE and the Emirate. Dr. Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Chairman of the UAE Taekwondo Federation, expressed his gratitude to Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, Honorary President of the UAE Taekwondo Federation, for their continuous support and visionary approach in developing the sports sector in the emirate, particularly in martial arts.
Dr. Al Zeyoudi further emphasized the UAE Taekwondo Federation’s commitment to ensuring the tournament’s success by organizing it according to the highest standards. The UAE’s strong track record in hosting international sporting events and its dedication to excellence in sports management were cited as key factors in the ITF’s decision to award the tournament to Fujairah.
